Dive into Life

This is how I have been feeling this week

hiking down into the gulch

summer is here

surf is flat

it's hot

 and

the water is beautiful

I have been going free diving with my family

when I get first get into the ocean

I am all amped up

 full of energy

 raring to go

exploring the bay

around the corner

 under rocks

deeper waters

and

 back to the cliffs

urchins

 all the fish of the rainbow big and little

 eel, crab, shellfish, turtles

never knowing what will be further ahead

Myself, my son and daughter, my boyfriend

and friends

the boys are spearfishing catching fish for dinner

the girls exploring looking for treasure

making my way back to shore

 back on the beach

my legs are rubber

still we have to climb back up the steep walls

looking back down saying a silent goodnight to the ocean

I am thankful

thankful I have this time with my family and friends

thankful at the end of the day that 

I choose

 to dive into life

with both feet
